Ken’s dedication to surf life saving is reflected in life memberships being awarded with Surf Life Saving Tasmania (SLST) and Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA). He also received a World Surf Life Saving Citation of Merit in 1978. His commitment and determination to promote and support the movement was further recognised when he was awarded a B.E.M. (British Empire Medal) for Services to Surf Life Saving in 1983.
