Lou Stubbs

Regarded as the patriarch of the club, Lou has the distinction of being the longest-serving Club President (1949 – 1966). Although Lou never gained a Bronze Medallion his charitable and benevolent attitude to the youth of Penguin is legendary. His contributions to the building of the second clubhouse at Town Beach (1953) and the current one at Preservation Bay in terms of design, organisation and sheer manpower were invaluable
