May Jupp

May was a stalwart of the Penguin Surf Life Saving Club’s Ladies Committee for many years.  The club relied heavily on the fundraising efforts of this group to ensure its financial viability.  Cake stalls, canteens and caterings were the primary functions and May was an ever-present and enthusiastic worker.  Her efforts (along with the work of many other mothers, wives, girlfriends and sisters) allowed women the opportunity to feel involved in the club and, indeed, responsible for its ongoing viability and success.
